Meet the Team: Andrew

Posted 10 September 2021

Campbell & George has now been operating in Queanbeyan for 18 months and it has not taken long for us to become part of the social fabric of our local Queanbeyan community.

One of our main drivers of connection is our Venue Manager, Andrew. Andrew joined the team in January 2021 and has had a positive impact, not only on how the Club operates but our staff, our services and what we have on offer!

Andrew lived in Queanbeyan for 10 years whilst gaining extensive experience in the Club industry across the dotted line in Canberra, however, he is happy to be back working on the NSW side. “The folks here are great, always have been. It’s nice to see that there’s a really positive vibe around C&G and what we are bringing to the area. It’s fun, laid back but still with that strong community focus”

Campbell & George are proudly supporting the Queanbeyan District Cricket Club as well as Bella Monaro – female football from Under 12’s to Under 18’s. “It’s great to have an opportunity to support the local community and I love sport, I think it’s important for people to be given the opportunity to participate and if we can help out through C&G we’d love to.

Andrew grew up in regional NSW before moving to Sydney where he played in the NRL until he moved to our local area for work. “Sport is central to the community in regional NSW. Queanbeyan is unique – we aren’t quite Canberra, but we aren’t Sydney. We are our own place – just like Campbell & George.”

“I want Campbell & George to become a really solid part of Queanbeyan, for people to feel like it’s been here for years. We are new, we are fun, we are relaxed – I hope people come and give us a chance. The cold beers and great food are just the beginning!!!!”
