The Queanbeyan Croquet Club has had a huge few weeks on the greens

Posted 16 October 2025

With impressive achievements at both a state and national level, the Queanbeyan Croquet Club has had their best year yet. The teams have been putting in the work, making history for the club and bringing home some outstanding results.

National success in Albury

At the Australian 2025 GC Handicap Doubles and Singles, held at the Twin City Croquet Club in Albury, Peter Freer and Ann Clifton delivered a fantastic performance.

In the Doubles, Peter and Ann placed third overall. And in the Singles, Peter took out first place, with Ann immediately behind in second place!

Division 2 makes history

The first-ever Division 2 team reached a major milestone by qualifying for the State Pennants Finals, held at Lake Macquarie. This is such a great achievement for the Division 2 team, and we wish them all their best in the lead up to next year!

Division 1 shines at State Finals

On Sunday 12 October, the Division 1 team competed in the State Pennants Finals, also held at Lake Macquarie. They put up a fantastic fight and finished 2nd in the state! What a remarkable achievement for the team!
